More of the down town shopping in Tokyo.

The more I explore of Tokyo the further I see of the old blending with the new and I’m not sure which one is wining.

Two things Tokyo has a lot of torii gates and McDonalds. A torii is said to symbolically mark the transition from the profane to the sacred, doesn’t get much more profane then that.

A monk out on the street asking for donations in a very humble way.

A very packed, small portion of the shopping district.

An old school maneki-neko or beckoning cat, it is a common Japanese lucky charm or talisman on which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner.

When you want to ride in style not much beats the old school Rickshaw, A pulled rickshaw is a mode of human-powered transport by which a runner draws a two-wheeled cart which seats one or two people.
