Is there anything more elegant then a beautifully colored kimono?

The kimono is a Japanese traditional garment. The word "kimono", which actually means a "thing to wear" has come to mean in Japanese a full-length robe. Kimono is always used in important festival or formal moments, it is the representative of polite and a very formal clothing.

At this temple they are having a festival, and a lot of the woman have dressed in their finest kimono.

The young and old wear the kimono as well as men and woman.

This is the mostly beautifully color kimono I have seen today. Most often the more colorful kimono are worn by woman while the men have dark and grey toned kimono.

A very vibrant gate to mark the entrance.

A calm pond for the crane to take a nap.
