The last remnants of Kinkaku-ji Temple of the Golden Pavilion basking in the sun.

The second floor, called The Tower of Sound Waves is built in the style of warrior aristocrats, or buke-zukuri. The third floor is built in traditional Chinese chán Zen style, also known as zenshū-butsuden-zukuri. It is called the Cupola of the Ultimate, Kukkyou-chou.

The gleaming sun brightens my day.

Kinkaku-ji Temple of the Golden Pavilion has a few like water features that give a sense of calm.

Great view of the mountain and the shiny temple.

The water quickly falls to the rocks below.

I am amazed of how well these straw roofs will last to about 30 years.
