More fun and Beauty at Kinkaku-ji "Temple of the Golden Pavilion".

The present pavilion structure dates from 1955, when it was rebuilt. The pavilion is three stories high, approximately 12.5 meters in height. The reconstruction is said to be a copy close to the original, although some doubt such an extensive gold-leaf coating was used on the original structure.

The golden mountains of Kinkaku-ji "Temple of the Golden Pavilion".

Looks like this has been here a while and seems to have grown some moss.

Little island in the middle of the golden pond.

The main temple building is also kept in great condition.

Topped with a shiny bronze phoenix (phoenix) ornament.
